As my friends and family know, I am very, VERY close to the release of my debut novel, DEATH ON THE CALDERA, a fantasy murder mystery that is releasing with Titan Books on June 17th, 2025. It’s been a wild, exciting journey and I couldn’t be more proud of everything my team and I did to get ready for this moment. I mean, look at this beautiful book! LOOK AT IT!!!!
Right now, I’m oscillating between racing to complete the 50,000 tasks that are necessary within the lead up to a book launch and being absolutely pudding brained. It’s overwhelming to say the least, and every so often I stumble across another one of those things you are supposed to “do” long before your book hits store shelves that I haven’t done. Newsletters are, naturally, one of them.
So here I am! Making one now. My goal is to use substack primarily as an author newsletter, where you get occasional updates about where I’m at in the publishing process with my various books and other projects. In an ideal world, I’ll send a newsletter out once a month, with a few extra issues when I have a book coming out. In a realistic world, it will probably be a couple times a year. BUT! it will nevertheless help give YOU the chance to know what’s going on with my writing, plus any other thoughts I might be interested in sharing with you. I used to blog quite a bit and I would love the chance to get back to doing that again, perhaps through this platform.
But for now, I’m trying to keep things manageable. We’ll see how this platform works for me as time goes by and hopefully have some fun with it! As ever, feel free to leave feedback about what kinds of content you’re interested in seeing from me in these emails. I live to serve.
